Surface Preparation:

Substrate should be sanded with 120, 150 or 180 grit sandpaper prior to finishing. Difficult or oily substrates may require the use of 401-033 Isolante Sealer prior to priming to ensure maximum adhesion.

General Information:

Prepare material as per hardener mixing ratio and apply over desired surface at 3-5 mils wet.
Mixed product will contain 999-067, an isocyanate based co-reactant. Please follow all precautions associated with handling and use of these materials. The relative humidity in the application and drying rooms should never exceed 75%.
After drying, scuff sand with 280-320 grit paper and topcoat within eight hours. If left over eight hours, the sealer should be re-sanded prior to topcoating.
Total dry film build of the system including topcoat is not to exceed 6 dry mils.

Topcoats to use over 436-2104: Chemlite 436-31XX or Lustrate 436-1399.

Lustrate Sealer is designed to provide the improved adhesion characteristics typical of a urethane material. When topcoated with Chemlite or Lustrate, the system provides exceptional durability and light stability.

spec_uses:

436-2104 is suitable for sealing all types of wood and wood veneers for interior use. The product provides very good water resistance and offers protection from tannin bleed.

L'épaisseur du feuil, la porosité du substrat, le mouvement de l'air, la chaleur et l'humidité ont une forte incidence sur les temps de séchage. Les températures sont basées sur la température réelle du panneau de bois. Le temps de séchage peut varier en fonction du temps nécessaire pour que les panneaux de bois atteignent ces températures. La température de durcissement minimale de 18 °C/64 °F doit être maintenue pendant tout le cycle de durcissement afin d'obtenir l'intégrité de revêtement indiquée dans les caractéristiques du produit.
